"Even if Imtiaz tied him down to a lamp post on September 2, he`d have been in Kolkata for the match. Ranbir is a huge Messi fan. Not seeing the match is not an option."
If I already didn’t like Ranbir Kapoor enough the fact that he is so damn passionate about Barca and Messi makes me love him more. And it’s not even for show like a lot Bollywood stars who show support for big Football teams. This guy is a genuine fan!!
Things that I don't find funny, But I will laugh anyways because they are too dumb to get angry over
1. Mourinho’s quote about Messi being best in the world, because Ronaldo is from another planet or best in the universe (something along those lines). Unless Ronaldo has been playing with Aliens from another planet that comment doesn’t hold (at least not with logic, emotion yes!). Messi had a similar quote though, I forgot who said it. No matter in which order the names are placed, the quote just sounds dumb to me.
2. Twisting Messi’s words. If Messi is known for one thing, it is his humility. He has never said he is the best and neither has he acted like it. For years and years this guy has suffered fouls and after fouls (if you don’t know then you need to look at the stats again). He got up without complaining and played. It is only recently he is starting to protest that too just a bit because the fouls are getting more dangerous and he is tired of it I guess. He never asks players things like “who are you?” or “How much do you get make?” Heck if I didn’t know him, I wouldn’t even know that this guy was one of the highest paid football players. He is humble. But yes he does get mad and after all Messi can’t be a Saint all the time. So don’t go around twisting his words saying he will try to look for more space in house for the awards. What he said was “I keep all these awards at home and I still have some space for more”. It means WATCH OUT BECAUSE I WILL COME BACK FOR MORE!!! Not, oh god I already won so many awards I need to find more space.
3. Puyol’s Outfit. Some people whined how Puyol’s outfit was disrespectful. Some people in other teams do things to be disrespectful (do I need to mention a name?), others just do it to show the love they have for their team. Now if you find it disrespectful that’s truly your problem. Most players probably love their Armani suits better than the jersey they were. Our players are different. The Barca crest is precious to them, and as our Captain said "I feel best wearing the one with the Barça crest close to my heart"
4. Messi Ronaldo comparison. Messi deserved this win. Yes Ronaldo definitely had a better season with Madrid this time compared to the last one, he won the top scorer for la liga, and Madrid has definitely improved (not ashamed to admit they scare the shit out of me) But that still doesn’t change that Barca was still a better team. They won the league, & champions league. Even for these individual player awards, the team matters. On a whole the last 4 encounters between Barca and Madrid, Barca has won 3 times (counting different legs as one). CR scored the highest number of goals for La liga, while Messi was the second highest scorer. But Messi has the highest number of assists in the league while CR was #7 on that list. Messi was also the highest scorer in Champions league. The Barca fans laughing at Ronaldo’s 3 votes are disrespectful. Any player who is this good deserves to be respected (as a player). But saying Messi didn’t deserve to win are just plain stupid or seriously in denial.
I think it's time Pique does it again! I didn't even know Pique was a hairstylist!
2010 press conference
Q: Fernando and Cesc – your change in apperance… does it have to do with your injuries? How will those affect the team? Will you be ready to play?
Fernando: We hope so, it’s true that in my case I’ve missed a lot of games, and I played about half as much as my teammates. I should be more fit, but I’m recovering from an injury. I’ve been training and training and I hope we will both recover.
Cesc: I didn’t want a repeat of what happened last year, when Piqué shaved my head.
Only because sometimes people forget how great the guy is..
There is a modern footballer who has won the European Championship, the World Cup and whom clubs have been fighting over because they are willing to pay him up to $300,000 a week to play for them and lend him a private jet to fly home to visit his friends and family when he’s off duty.
This man is sublimely gifted, young, reliable and not only hasn’t fallen victim to the increasingly regular tendency for multimillionaire players to behave like utter clowns, he is dedicated to improving himself, representing his club and country with dignity and achieving everything that god’s gifts have left him in a position to win.
